一見、何の変哲も無い南の島の写真ですが、よく観察してみると、一つの島の上空にそれぞれ一つずつ雲が出来上がっていることが分かります。ちょっと不思議な写真です。
島の地表は、海面よりも太陽の熱を吸収しやすいため、島の地表で熱せられた湿った空気は上昇気流となり、その結果、島の上空ひとつずつに雲が出来上がります。
